প্রিয় বন্ধুরা, আপনাদের মনে প্রথমেই একটি প্রশ্ন জাগতে পারে। আর সেটি হচ্ছে, এতো ঘটা করে, এতো বিশদভাবে আপনাদেরকে কেন CV/Resume লেখা শেখানো হচ্ছে। আপনারাতো আর এখনই চাকরির জন্য Apply করছো না। হ্যাঁ, আপনাদের প্রশ্নটি যথাযথ। কিন্তু Education-এর উদ্দেশ্য স্বল্পমেয়াদী নয়, এর ফল বিদ্যমান থাকে জীবনব্যাপী। তাই ভবিষ্যতে Higher Education গ্রহণের পর যখন Job Market-এ প্রবেশ করব তখন যাতে আপনি নিজেকে প্রস্তুত রাখতে পার সেজন্যই আপনাকে এগুলো শেখানো হচ্ছে।

কোনো Job-এর জন্য apply করতে আপনাকে দুটি আলাদা আলাদা জিনিস employer বা নিয়োগদাতা বা নিয়োগদানকারী প্রতিষ্ঠানকে প্রদান করতে হবে। এগুলো হচ্ছে-

Job Application

1. Cover Letter:

• এটি মূল Application.
• এটিতে Employer-কে Applicant জানায় যে সে তার প্রতিষ্ঠানে কাজ করতে আগ্রহী।
• সাক্ষাৎ (Interview)-এর জন্য Employer- কে অনুরোধ করা ইত্যাদি।

2. CV/Resume:

• একটি CV/ Resume হচ্ছে একজন Applicant- এর পরিপূর্ণ কিন্তু সংক্ষেপিত জীবনচিত্র।
• এটিতে থাকে Applicant-এর Name, Address, Education, Experience. Relevant Skills. Activities and Achievements এবং Personal Data.

CV নিয়ে কিছু কথা

বর্তমানে চাকরির বাজার খুব Competitive তথা প্রতিযোগিতামূলক। ফলে একটি চাকরির Advertisement পাওয়া মাত্রই হাজার হাজার Applicants সেই চাকরির জন্য হুমড়ি খেয়ে পড়ে। আর এই হাজারো চাকরিপ্রত্যাশীর CV-এর ভিড়েও যাতে তোমার CV-টি Exceptional (ব্যতিক্রম) মনে হয় সেজন্য তোমাকে কিছু পন্থা অবলম্বন করতে হবে।

Some Special Tips:

• CV লেখার ক্ষেত্রে employer-এর চাহিদার প্রতি দৃষ্টি রাখ অর্থাৎ তার চাহিদা পূরণ করতে পারে এরূপ বিষয়গুলো CV-তে স্বচ্ছভাবে তুলে ধর।
• তোমার Educational Background এবং Work Experience (কাজের পূর্ব অভিজ্ঞতা) প্রদান কর।
• কোনো Real work experience না থাকলে তুমি যেসব Voluntary activities করেছো যা তোমার আবেদনকৃত Job-টির সাথে সংগতিপূর্ণ তা উল্লেখ কর।
• তোমার CV-টি অবশ্যই appearance বা প্রদর্শনগত দিক দিয়ে professional হতে হবে।
• অবশ্যই Grammar and Spelling mistakes-মুক্ত হতে হবে।
• এটি তোমার skill, abilities achievements-কে যথাযথভাবে প্রদর্শন করবে।
• এটি অবশ্যই neat, simple, accurate এবং honest হতে হবে।

একটি CV/Resume-এর অত্যাবশ্যক অংশগুলো নিম্নরূপ:

1. Name and Address: CV/Resume-এর প্রারম্ভিক অংশে তোমার identity এবং যেখানে তোমাকে পাওয়া যাবে তার address উল্লেখ করতে হবে।
2. Education: কর্ম-অভিজ্ঞতা না থাকলে এবং অধ্যয়নরত হলে তোমার শিক্ষাই হয়ত জোরালো বিনিময়ের বিষয় হবে। এ অংশে যেসব পরীক্ষায় উত্তীর্ণ হয়েছ তা তালিকাভুক্ত কর এবং যেসব training course-এ অংশগ্রহণ করেছ তা উল্লেখ কর।
3. Work experience: তোমার কর্ম-অভিজ্ঞতা হলো তোমার সবচেয়ে যৌক্তিক qualification এবং অংশে (a) নিয়োগকর্তার name, nature এবং location; (b) functional title; (c) the length of your service; (d) your duties and responsibilities; (e) your achievements and contributions উল্লেখ করা বাঞ্ছনীয়।
4. Relevant skills: এই অংশে career objective-এর সাথে সম্পৃক্ত এমন বিবিধ বিষয় উল্লেখ করতে হবে।
5. Activities and achievements: এখানে তুমি অবৈতনিক স্বেচ্ছাসেবী কাজের কথা উল্লেখ করতে পার।
6. Personal data: চাকরি পেতে সাহায্য করে এমন personal data প্রদান করতে পার। তোমার hobby, travel experience, personal characteristics ইত্যাদি লিখতে পার।

যাহোক তোমার CV/Resume তিন ধরনের হতে পারে। তোমার বিশেষ অবস্থান বিবেচনা করে chronological, functional ও targeted এর মধ্যে যেকোনো একটি Resume মনোনয়ন করতে পার।

তিন ধরনের CV/Resume:

1. Chronological Resume: ভালো work experience থাকলে কিংবা প্রতিষ্ঠিত career path চালিয়ে যেতে চাইলে কিংবা traditional organisation-এ আবেদন করতে চাইলে Chronological Resume লেখা বাঞ্ছনীয়।
2. Functional Resume: ভালো অভিজ্ঞতা থাকলে কিংবা প্রথমবারের মতো Job Market-এ ঢুকতে চাচ্ছ এমন হলে কিংবা career পরিবর্তন করতে চাইলে Functional Resume লেখাই যৌক্তিক।
3. Targeted Resume: Job target সম্পর্কে নিশ্চিত হলে কিংবা কিছু capabilities সম্পর্কে গুরুত্বারোপ করতে চাইলে কিংবা প্রত্যেকটি career objective-এর জন্য আলাদা আলাদা Resume লিখতে চাইলে Targeted Resume অনুকরণ করা বাঞ্ছনীয়।
